Why a Triangle?
Why use a triangle to explain this concept? Simplicity, a triangle is the strongest basic structure in the world and is often employed to demonstrate the strength of individual components that have enormous power to accomplish great things when utilized together.
Take for instance a fire triangle; it must consist of oxygen, fuel and a spark/flame for fire to exist. Put them together and you can have anything from a lit match to a blazing 12-alarm blaze, but missing one component…no fire.
When all sides of a triangle are fully intact and connected, a triangle can withstand an enormous amount of pressure on any given side. Why? It is because of its unique ability to handle pressure.
Think it through
The same way that a chain is only as strong as it’s weakest link, a triangle is only as strong as the weakest side or joint. Relationship Triangles are no different, when your Relationship Triangle’s three major components (Mutual – Trust, Respect, and Communication) are fully intact, the relationship can withstand the enormous pressures that life and relationships inevitably brings.
Tell me one person that you know that would not like to be involved in a successful relationship. This does not exclude relationships from problems or challenges, but it does provide a solution to resolving them in a way that strengthens the relationship versus damaging it. However it does take the unselfish self control to ensure that the components of the triangle are not only strong and connected, but mutually shared between both parties and fortified with love and forgiveness which is the bond of the Relationship Triangle.
Give the Relationship Triangle a try and see how great your relationships, with everyone and anyone that mutually shares the goal of relationship success, can be.
